Sick Flexi Soft Safety Controller

The Sick Flexi Soft safety controller is a modular, fully configurable safety system that eliminates traditional safety relay wiring through software-based logic configuration. Using the Flexi Soft Designer software, engineers create safety functions via drag-and-drop function blocks, significantly reducing engineering time and documentation effort while maintaining SIL 3 (IEC 62061) / PL e (ISO 13849-1) compliance. The modular I/O structure includes base units, input modules with diverse signal types (OSSD, EDM, test pulse), output modules with safe semiconductor or relay outputs, and communication modules for PROFINET, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and CANopen. Integrated safe drive monitoring (SS1, SS2, SLS, SOS) is supported when connected to compatible drives via the Flexi Soft Drive Monitor module. The system's diagnostic capabilities include detailed event logging with time stamps accessible via the software interface, USB memory stick, or fieldbus communication to a higher-level control system.
