The Rockwell Automation PowerFlex 525 is a compact AC drive designed for flexible manufacturing environments where connectivity, safety, and ease-of-use are paramount. It features embedded dual-port EtherNet/IP with Device Level Ring (DLR) support for network resilience, eliminating the need for external switches in ring topologies. Sensorless vector control provides high torque at low speeds, while the integrated Safe Torque Off (STO) function meets SIL 3 requirements. The drive accepts up to three plug-in I/O modules for application-specific expansion, and its function-block programming environment allows custom logic without a separate PLC. A full-color LCD screen with intuitive soft-key navigation simplifies commissioning and troubleshooting.
