Pilz PNOZ m B0 Safety Controller

The Pilz PNOZ m B0 is a compact configurable safety controller designed as the base unit for smaller safety applications requiring up to SIL 3 / PL e functional safety. It features 20 safe digital inputs that can be individually configured as dual-channel emergency stop circuits, guard door monitoring, light curtain outputs, or two-hand control devices. The device is programmed using the intuitive PNOZmulti Configurator software, which offers pre-certified function blocks, reducing application engineering time and eliminating the need for complex safety relay wiring. An integrated expansion bus allows the connection of additional I/O modules, communication modules (EtherCAT, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP), and display units for distributed safety architectures. The B0's compact 45 mm housing saves cabinet space while providing comprehensive diagnostics via optional fieldbus interfaces and the PNOZmulti communication interface.
