ABB ACS580 General Purpose Drive

The ABB ACS580 is a general-purpose AC drive designed to simplify commissioning and reduce total cost of ownership across a wide range of industrial applications. It features an intuitive Assistant control panel with guided start-up wizards, eliminating the need for extensive drive training. The built-in PID controller supports closed-loop process control for pressure, flow, temperature, or level, while the energy efficiency optimizer automatically selects the most efficient operating point. The ACS580 supports multiple fieldbus protocols including PROFIBUS, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, and Modbus RTU without additional hardware. Its coated circuit boards and optional IP54 construction provide protection in harsh environments common in African industrial sites.
