The Rockwell Kinetix 5700 is a modular multi-axis servo drive system designed for high-performance motion applications requiring coordinated axis control. Its shared DC bus architecture allows energy regeneration from decelerating axes to be reused by accelerating axes, reducing total energy consumption by up to 30% in multi-axis systems. The drive supports up to 16 axes in a single chassis with dual-axis modules that minimize panel space requirements. Integrated safety includes STO, SS1, and SLS functions up to SIL 3, and dual-encoder feedback supports both motor-mounted and load-mounted feedback devices for full closed-loop control. Native EtherNet/IP with DLR (Device Level Ring) provides deterministic real-time motion synchronization across the entire machine network.
